Seth Pomeroy, CPA, MIS is the Partner-in-Charge of CFO and Accounting Technology services at The NDH Group, Ltd. Prior to joining NDH in February, 2004 Seth managed the CFO and accounting technology division of Chicago based Rome Associates LLP. He began his professional career in brokerage and trading. His experience in capital markets was instrumental in his pursuit of managing real-time results and forecasting for NDH’s customers.
Seth’s goals for the development of CFO and Accounting Technology services include:
Enhance Customer Profitability - Research and apply profit enhancement strategies for customers. This includes research of current best-practices adopted from publicly held companies and teaming with other CFOs through the Illinois Technology Association CFO Roundtable. This effort has lead to applying expertise in managing capacity, sustainable financial performance, financial modeling, and segment reporting for NDH customers.
Increase Content - Increase the firm’s content offering through on-line financial accounting and accounting technology expertise. This gives customer’s access to usable advice clearly missing from software vendors and major financial publications. This includes launching the eCFO newsletter (see eCFO) which focuses on profit, operational, and technology issues for privately held businesses. This effort has also led to building the firm’s on-line help system (see I M & U and O M & U), and accounting standards library (see TIA).
Manage Templates - Manage the continued build-out of software configuration and workprocess templates. To date, this has proven to speed the implementation of on-line systems (see On-Demand Systems) and move customers to faster closing of month-end accounts and reporting. A templates approach means that years of expertise can be packaged and applied to current and new engagements - saving time during critical operational periods.
